  1. Nelson, a very Happy New Year's wish to you, Jackie, and the Rottie kids. I've read your entire blog history finally. I love your pictures of your lives together.

  2. I love your blog, and Happy New Year to you all!

I lost my beloved rottweiler mix, Max, 1 week ago. He got to live for 13 years and 5 months before his hip decided that it was enough. He had become weaker in his muscles and his spirit had begun to sink, so instead of waiting until the end of the holidays, we went in at 11:00 in the evening to give him a worthy ending to a wonderful life. He was our (me and my fathers) first dog, I got him when I was 13 and he was 8 weeks old and as such I have had him half my life. I am currently still grieving, we both are, but reading your blog and seeing how happy you are both with the rotties you remember, and the ones that followed, makes me sure that I can once again love a dog. It feels tough when the grief is so big, but it'll take the time that it takes...one day when I'm ready, I will start a life with a rottweiler.

Sincerely from Sweden, with much love.

    /Josefin and family.

    1. You are a lot braver than most - including me - to make that final act of love and have your lifelong friend put to sleep. I hope you find another Rottweiler to replace the one you lost and spend the rest of your life enjoying all of their companionship and love.
