Sun and snow don't mix. The Sun makes the weather warm and when it melts the snow it makes mud. Mud makes messes in the house. Rottweilers don't understand this but the human who cleans the house does. For that reason alone, when the Sun melts the snow and makes mud, the Rottweilers stay in the house. So everyone takes a nap with the warm afternoon Sun streaming in through the windows.
